Plastic Surgery Need to Look Like Barbie

Many women look up to the famous doll, Barbie, as the epitome of beauty. Experts say that Barbie’s face and figure are anatomically impossible, but let’s face it, it looks good. And women are willing to undergo the knife for plastic surgery in order to at least look a wee like Barbie.

Now, if you really want to have the face and body of Barbie, how much cosmetic surgery would you need? And how many plastic surgery procedures are you willing to go through?

Now, in a publication called O Magazine, model Katie Halchishick poses in order to become a human diagram. Here, the necessary procedures are shown in order for one to have the perfect “Barbie” figure. Photo was taken by Matthew Rolston.

According to the magazine article, if the model wants to look like Barbie, here are the procedures that she needs to undergo.

1. Brow lift
2. Jaw line shave
3. Rhinoplasty
4. Cheek and neck reduction
5. Chin implant
6. Scooped-out shoulders
7. Breast lift
8. Liposuction on the arms
9. Tummy tuck and sculpture

All these do not include the back part and her legs.

The model Halchishick said that she does not want to undergo any of the procedures. While the distorted image of the perfect body is now medically attainable, Halchishick seems to say that she is not endorsing it.

But yes, there are women who are willing to go through surgery in order to look like Barbie. One such example is Cindy Jackson, a 55-year-old lady that has survived 52 procedures. Then there is reality star Heidi Montag, who had 10 surgeries done on her in just one day.

Wow! All the money and the risk involved in plastic surgery in order to look like somebody else. Cosmetic surgeons are really happy with this mentality.

Types of Breast Reconstruction

After reading about the case of Giuliana Rancic and her impending double mastectomy, I became aware of breast reconstruction and that there are actually many types.

1. IMPLANT PROCEDURES. Implant means placing something on the breast area. Usually, a saline-filled implant is used. It is actually a silicone shell that is filled with salt water or sterile saline. Others use the silicone gel-filled implants. The one-stage breast reconstruction may be done immediately after the mastectomy. The general surgeon first removes the breast tissue then the plastic surgeon will place a breast implant on the area to to form the breast again. That means two surgeons will do the double procedure side by side. But at least, you only get one dose of general anesthesia and a single use of the operating room.

2. TISSUE FLAP PROCEDURES. As the name suggests, these breast reconstruction procedures use your own body’s tissue from the tummy, back, buttocks, or thighs to rebuild the breast(s). The two most common types of this operation are the TRAM flap (or transverse rectus abdominis muscle flap) and the latissimus dorsi flap. In the TRAM flap, tissue from the tummy area is used while in the latissimus dorsi flap, tissue from the upper back is utilized. These procedures leave two scars–at the reconstructed breast and the area where the tissue was taken.

Newer Breast Reconstruction Flap Procedures
1. DIEP (deep inferior epigastric artery perforator) flap. The DIEP flap also uses fat and skin from the tummy area. But unlike in the TRAM flap, the muscle is not used for the breast. The happy side effect of this is, it is like having a tummy tuck because there will be less skin and fat in the lower abdomen).

2. Gluteal free flap (superior gluteal artery perforator) flap. This uses the tissue from the buttocks, including the gluteal muscle. This is an option for women who do not have a lot of tummy fat or because of other reasons.

There is so much to breast reconstruction that I know nothing about. But thanks to medical technology in the field of cosmetic surgery, women who had mastectomy can have new breasts, even for aesthetic purposes only.

Fake Plastic Surgeon

Fake Plastic Surgeon-Oneal Ron Morris

A man posing as a woman named Oneal Ron Morris, 30, was arrested after he performed a butt augmentation procedure on a woman who wanted to work in a nightclub in Miami, Florida.

The woman, whose name is being withheld, was looking for a somebody who could do plastic surgery at a cheaper price than those offered at clinics. But because of opting for cheap service at $700, her buttocks got injected with “cement, mineral oil and flat-tire sealant.”

Morris was charged with “practicing medicine without a license” that resulted to serious bodily injury. In the police photo above, Morris is shown as a small-framed woman with pouty lips, arched eyebrows, and a really large backside.

The victim was referred to Morris by a friend. The fake plastic surgeon injected several times on different areas of the victim’s bottom. When the victim felt unbearable pain, Morris assured her that it will all be fine. Although she felt so much pain, the patient did not want to come out because of shame. It was her mother who took her to a Florida hospital and filed a complaint.

Sometimes, you would wonder why such things happen to a modern society like America. You would think that people get victimized by such quackery only in Third World countries. So please ladies and gentlemen, if you want to improve your physical appearance, go to reputable plastic surgeons.
