Anti-ageing products from Yves Rocher

I have read about age-specific anti-ageing skin care products but here in the Philippines, it is unfortunate that we do not yet have such a technology for such specialized line. So in the end, everyone who wants to have younger-looking skin will just choose from a limited selection produced by a few brands in the market.

But the problem is, people have different skin types, which follows that they also have different needs. I have oily skin. But my skin looks dull and age spots have started appearing five years ago. I was advised to wear sunblock but if I do, I get comedones. The same is true with moisturizers. I have tried all kinds of moisturizes but it seems that they just clog my pores and I get a lot of pimples. It is just a crazy cycle.

Anyway, I came across anti-ageing skincare by Yves Rocher. When I visited their website, what I noticed is that you will really get specialized skin care that is appropriate for your age. They have so many products but it is easy to find what you need because all you need to do is to go to your age bracket and you will be presented with your choices.

I am interested with their Exfoliating Cleanser, Skin Optimizer, and Specific Intensive Eye Smoothing Care. And I am in luck because all their items are on sale for spring! Weeee Now all I need is to have these items shipped to my aunt in London so that she can send them over to me when her package arrives. I am so excited to used these products because I am just so frustrated with the little choices that we have here.

My permed hair

My hair is not very consistent. On the surface, you will see that it is straight, but underneath, it is wavy. Since it is quite unmanageable, I end up just tying my hair together at the back. That way, it is away from my face and neck because it is quite hot around here.

But recently, I got so sick and tired of my confusing hair that I decided to have it layered and curled. Yup! I got a perm! And it is not digital perm but the trusty old way of curling your hair–with those odorous chemicals!

I so love my hair now. It is wash and wear and I don’t brush it. It feels like a new me. And you wonder how hair can just affect a person, no?

To take care of my perm so that it won’t get damaged, I used L’Oreal shampoo and a lot of conditioner everyday. I don’t comb my hair either. hehe Now, it is literally a wash-and-wear hairstyle! Except for the conditioner, it is also very low maintenance. I think I will have my hair curled every 15 months from now on. I think that as long as you take care of your perm, it will not damage your hair.

Eskinol Dermaclear C

I used to have big pimples that do not have openings that they remain like big bumps on my face for months! The only way to hasten their healing is to inject the root of the infection with steroids. The process is painful and when it heals, the area depresses because of my tendency to develop keloid.

Aside from being unsightly, these are painful!

But one time, when I went to the Skin Spa in order to have a diamond peel, the attendant suggested that I use Eskinol Dermaclear C, which was really for pimple fighting. I thought why not? Actually, I used Eskinol astringent in the past to clean my face but not this variant but I never even knew that this was available.

So the next day, I bought a bottle and since then, I did not have a problem with pimples, even during my monthly period!

Who Can Use Eskinol Dermaclear C?
Now, every skin type is different. I recommend this to those with oily skin and large pores. I wash with papaya soap and then further cleanse my face with Eskinol Dermaclear C. I avoided all kinds of moisturizer because whatever their claims of being non-comedogenic, they still clog my pores and I still get blackheads that eventually turn into pimples.

Doesn’t Eskinol Dermaclear C dry the skin?
No, it doesn’t, at least for me. My face already produces excessive amounts of oil that I needed something to control it. Now, my face is fresher and clearer. And believe it or not, my pores also look smaller. Yeah, it did have a pore-refining effect on my face.

I am so happy with this discovery. Sure the scars and marks are still there but I no longer have bouts with big pimples. Try this. It is a really cheap solution.

Now it is my intention to maintain regular facials, like at least once a month, then diamond peel in order to maintain the youthfulness of the skin and also to lighten the scars.

Next problem: age spots.

You see, Chicago is a cold and windy city. But despite the body heat that hair growth can give, women would have hairless complexion because they can be unsightly.

While these may seem too much and too expensive, that is okay, for someone like Whitney’s caliber because after all, she can just very well afford it.

Anyway, I just want to say though that aside from her golden and powerful singing voice, Whitney Houston is one of the most beautiful artists I have seen. She is tall and slim, has smooth complexion, and lovely features. Whitney Houston songs–her memory and legacy in music will really remain in people’s hearts.

While one date is the not the basis for a good life-long relationship, we all would want to have an enjoyable time, right?

For one thing, you need to relax. If you are all jittery on your first date, then you are most likely to bungle up and by the end of the night, you will be a nervous wreck. So…relax.

1. Get a good night’s rest the night before. Sleep is a basic beauty tip. When you wake up the next day, your face will already be naturally glowing. If your date falls on a weekend, it would be great to even have a nap in the afternoon.

2. Get a mani-pedi. Not only will your finger and toes look neat and clean, you will also be able to relax at the salon. I would suggest neutral colors like “touch of tan” for a first date. It is a safe color that will make your nails look presentable without putting too much emphasis on them.

3. Go for the natural look. If you are going out in the evenings, it would be nice to put on some color that will highlight your features, especially if you are going to dine in dimly lit restaurants. Aside from a good foundation or powder, do apply pink blush and an appropriate color lipstick. Touch up if you need to a few times throughout the evening.

4. Curl those lashes. Even with the simple look, curled lashes really enhance a woman’s look. Use a curlash and a good quality, water-proof mascara to achieve the look. I would suggest that you avoid the false eyelashes–especially if you are not used to having them on your eyes. Dolled up lashes with eyeliner would really work well on an evening date.

5. If you are going to a disco or a bar after dinner, it would be nice to wear eye makeup that will achieve the smoky eyes.

6. As for the hair, keep it simple. Don’t do you hair to be drastically different than you usual style. You don’t want your date to mistake you for another person.

First dates should be fun. More than just impressing the new guy, work on enjoying yourself and having fun. Just remember, all these beauty stuff are just superficial. While it is nice to work on looking good, that should not just be the basis for having a relationship.

KC Conception as covergirl for Rogue Magazine.

After the hoopla of the Jinkee Pacquiao Mega Magazine cover photo, here now is KC Concepcion making waves with her daring cover photo on Rogue Magazine.

A lot of people are saying that this one is much better than Jinkee’s cover because it is “natural”, meaning the photo is not photoshopped because KC still looks like KC in the photo. But what about the body. Honestly, I am not sure how KC is shaped, but I noticed that there is an unnatural shadow on the back where the upper edge of her corset fell. The shadow of her butt cheeks looks like an artwork, too.

Oh well, whatever tickles your fancy right? If this sells a magazine, why not?
